This Privacy Policy explains how TurboDuck LLC (“TurboDuck”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use the AFF Dating app and the website at affdate.top (together, the “Service”). AFF is only for adults aged 18 and over.
The short version
- We collect what you give us (your profile, photos, profile video and messages) and what we need to run AFF (device details, approximate location when you use Nearby, and your purchase status from Apple).
- A person on our team reviews your profile video and photos before your profile goes live.
- Other members see your profile, your online status and your city — never your exact location.
- We don't sell your personal information, and the app contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
- You can edit your profile, delete your account and exercise your privacy rights at any time.
1. Who we are
TurboDuck LLC is the company responsible for your personal information (the “controller”) when you use AFF Dating.

2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information from Sign in with Apple. A unique Apple user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your email address, which may be an Apple private relay address. Apple may also offer to share your name; we don't store it.
- Profile information. Your nickname, gender, birth date (other members see your age, not your birth date), country or region and city, “About me” text, profile photo, album photos (up to 12), and your profile video with its cover image.
- Messages and interactions. Greetings (“Say Hi”), the messages you send and receive, likes and passes in Nearby, and the blocks and reports you make.
- Support and feedback. The email address and message you send when you contact us in the app or by email.
Information collected automatically
- Device and app information. Device model, operating system and app version, language, locale, region and time zone, a random installation identifier, and, if you allow notifications, a push notification token.
- Registration record. When you first create your account, we record your email address and IP address together with the device details above, to secure accounts and prevent abuse. Your email address and IP address are stored encrypted.
- Activity and online status. When you are active in the app, which we use to show your online status; the profiles shown to you in the live list, so we don't keep showing you the same people (we keep the most recent 1,000 for up to 30 days); and how you interact with in-app notices.
- Log data. Technical logs such as IP addresses, request times and error reports, used to run and secure the Service.
Location
We use location only when you use Nearby and allow location access “While Using the App”. We request approximate location (about 1 km accuracy) once per search, not in the background. Your iPhone uses Apple's geocoding service to turn the coordinates into a country, region and city. We store that city together with the coordinates so we can find people in the same city. Other members only ever see your city.
Camera, microphone and photos
We use the camera and microphone only to record your profile video in the app, and photo library access only so you can choose photos for your profile. We receive only the photos and videos you choose to upload.
Purchases
AFF Premium is bought through Apple. Apple sends us transaction information, such as the product, transaction identifiers, purchase and expiry dates, and renewal and refund status, including through App Store Server Notifications. We link it to your account with an anonymous account token. We never receive your payment card details.
Information from other people
We receive information about you when other members message you, interact with your profile or report you.
What we don't collect
We don't access your contacts. We don't use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA), and we don't track you across other companies' apps and websites. The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with aggregated usage and crash data.
We don't use facial recognition technology, and we don't create biometric identifiers from your photos or video. Video review is done by people.
3. How we use information
- To provide the Service: to create your account, show your profile, run the live list and Nearby, deliver greetings and messages, and sync your conversations across sessions.
- To keep AFF real: a member of our review team looks at your profile video and photos to check that the video was recorded in the app, that it shows the same person as your photos, and that it follows our Community Guidelines.
- For safety and security: to handle reports, enforce our Terms, and prevent fraud, spam, abuse and ban evasion.
- For AFF Premium: to verify purchases, restore them on your devices and manage your access to Premium features.
- To communicate with you: to answer support requests, and to send system messages and, if you allow them, push notifications.
- To improve the Service: to understand how features are used and to fix problems, using limited technical data.
- For legal reasons: to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, and establish or defend legal claims.
We don't use your information for targeted advertising, and we don't make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you based solely on automated processing.
4. What other members can see
- Your profile: nickname, age, gender, city and country, “About me”, profile photo, album photos and profile video.
- Your online status, such as “Active now”, while you use the app.
- The greetings and messages you send them.
Other members can't see your birth date, email address, exact location, or whom you have blocked or reported. Remember that anything you share with other members can be copied or shared by them, so think before you share.
5. How we share information
- With other members, as described in Section 4.
- With service providers that process information for us under contract, such as cloud hosting, database and media storage providers (for example, Amazon Web Services), content delivery networks, and email and support tools. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- With Apple, for Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, push notifications and, when you use Nearby, geocoding on your device. Apple's own privacy policy applies to that processing.
- For legal and safety reasons, when the law requires it or we receive valid legal process, or when we believe disclosure is needed to protect the rights, property or safety of our members, TurboDuck or others, or to investigate fraud or violations of our Terms. See our Law Enforcement Guidelines.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, with notice to you where the law requires it.
- With your consent or at your direction.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Legal bases for processing (EEA and UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases:
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Creating your account and providing the Service: your profile, the live list, Nearby, greetings and messages | Performance of our contract with you |
| Reviewing profile videos and photos, moderating content and handling reports | Our legitimate interests in keeping AFF real and safe; performance of our contract |
| Using your location for Nearby | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in iOS Settings |
| Sending push notifications | Your consent |
| Processing and verifying AFF Premium purchases | Performance of our contract; legal obligations such as tax records |
| Security, fraud prevention and preventing banned members from returning | Our legitimate interests and those of our members |
| Answering support requests and feedback | Performance of our contract; our legitimate interests |
| Complying with the law and responding to lawful requests | Legal obligation |
7. How long we keep information
- While your account is active, we keep your account and profile information so we can provide the Service.
- When you delete your account, your profile is removed from the Service right away. Within 30 days we delete your profile information, photos, profile video, conversations, messages, likes, passes, blocks and device tokens, except as described below. Copies in backups are overwritten within 90 days.
- Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require, generally up to 7 years.
- Safety records, such as reports you made or that others made about you and the actions we took, are kept for up to 3 years, or longer if they are needed for an ongoing investigation or legal claim. We also keep the link between a removed account and its Apple identifier so that banned members can't simply return.
- Security logs are kept for up to 12 months.
- Recently shown profiles in the live list are kept for 30 days after your last visit.
- Location: your stored coordinates and city stay with your profile until you run a new search, change your country or delete your account.
- Support messages are kept for up to 3 years.
8. How we protect information
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), store sensitive fields such as email addresses, IP addresses and push tokens encrypted, limit staff access on a need-to-know basis with audit logs, and serve photos and videos through short-lived links. On your iPhone, sign-in tokens are kept in the Keychain and chat history is kept in protected app storage that isn't included in iCloud backups. No system is completely secure, so please protect your device and report anything suspicious to us.
9. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and we and our service providers process and store information in the United States and other countries. If you are in the EEA or the UK, we protect transfers of your information with appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK addendum to them.
10. Your rights and choices
In the app
- Edit your profile, photos and profile video in Me → Edit profile.
- Turn location access and notifications on or off at any time in iOS Settings.

We don't charge a fee unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive. If we decline your request, we will explain why and how you can appeal.
11. U.S. state privacy rights
If you live in California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, this section applies to you in addition to the rest of this policy.

- The right to delete and to correct personal information.
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We don't sell or share personal information, and we don't knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. We still treat a Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out request.

To exercise these rights, email turboduck@foxmail.com. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for proof of authority and ask you to verify your identity. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with “Appeal” in the subject line; we will respond within the time your state's law requires.

You have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal information, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting processing that happened before. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If we appoint a representative in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we will list their contact details here.
13. Children
AFF is only for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has created an account, we will delete it. If you believe a minor is using AFF, please report it in the app or email turboduck@foxmail.com. See our Child Safety Standards.
14. Our website
The website at affdate.top doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising, and it doesn't ask you to create an account. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and timestamps, which we use to keep the website secure and reliable and delete on a routine schedule. The contact form opens your own email app; nothing you type is sent through the website. See our Cookie Policy.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes, we will let you know in the app or by email before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when the policy last changed.
