AFF Dating is an iPhone dating app for meeting real people in your city, fast. Every profile has a video that a person on our team has reviewed, the live list shows who's online right now, and Nearby finds people around you in one tap.

AFF is for adults aged 18 and over. You also need to meet the other requirements in our Terms of Service.

Download AFF from the App Store and tap Sign in with Apple. Then fill in your profile (name, gender, birth date, country or region and a few words about you), add a profile photo and record your profile video. Your profile appears to others once your video has been reviewed and approved.

AFF is available for iPhone with iOS 15.6 or later.

Video is how AFF keeps profiles real. A short clip recorded live in the app is much harder to fake than a photo, and a person on our team reviews every video before the profile goes live.

Hold your iPhone at eye level in good light, center your face in the circle and tap the red button. Videos are recorded with the front camera and last up to 8 seconds. You can retake it as many times as you like before you submit it.

We review videos as quickly as we can. You can see the status in the app: in review, approved, or needs a new video. Your profile appears in the live list and in Nearby once it's approved.

The most common reasons are that your face isn't clearly visible, the video shows someone else or a screen, it doesn't match your profile photos, or it breaks our Community Guidelines. The app tells you why, and you can record a new video at any time.

Go to Me → Edit profile. You can change your details and add up to 12 album photos. If you record a new profile video, it is reviewed again before it replaces the old one.

The green dot and “Active now” show members who are using AFF right now. The live list updates as people come online, so you can say hi while they're around.

Tap Say Hi on someone's profile or in the list. They can see your profile and decide whether to reply. As soon as they reply, your conversation unlocks and you can chat freely.

After you say hi, the conversation unlocks when the other person replies. This keeps everyone's inbox friendly and free of spam.

Pull down on the list to refresh it. New people are added as they come online.

Open the Nearby tab and tap Search Nearby. With your permission, AFF uses your location to work out your city and then shows people in the same city. Swipe right or tap the heart to like someone; swipe left or tap ✕ to pass.

Yes. Nearby is included with AFF Premium. See the Subscription Terms.

No. Other members only see your city. We use your location only when you search in Nearby, and never in the background.

Check that location access for AFF is set to “While Using the App” in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → AFF, make sure you're connected to the internet, then try again. If it still doesn't work, contact us.

AFF Premium unlocks Nearby, plus the other benefits listed on the Premium screen in the app. You can choose a weekly or monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.

On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions → AFF → Cancel Subscription. You keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel a subscription.

App Store purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Sign in with the same Apple Account, open the Premium screen in AFF and tap Restore.

Tap ⋯ on their profile or on their row in the list, choose Report this user, and pick a reason. If you're in danger, contact local emergency services first.

Our team reviews every report and takes action under our Community Guidelines, from removing content to banning the account. The person you report isn't told who reported them.

Tap ⋯ and choose Block this user. Blocking takes effect right away. To unblock someone, go to Me → Settings → Blocked users and tap their name.

Go to Me → Log out. You can sign in again with Apple at any time.

Go to Me → Delete account. See Delete your account for what happens to your data and how to request deletion by email.

Make sure you're connected to the internet, that you're signed in to your Apple Account on your iPhone, and that AFF is up to date. If it still doesn't work, contact us.
